Richer countries have very low natural population growth rates. People are usually educated enough to know when to have children, how many to have according to their means, and way to prevent getting pregnant or to access abortion. In other cases the government has stepped in to stop crazy growth like in China.
Why do these countries have to accept immigrants from nations where people, despite the lack of any means, have tens of children because of carelessness, ignorance or bigoted religions?
Is it fair?

What?
Gemany has way too few births so if people would stop being idiotic immigration is a great thing.
Of couse integration is hard when the people are from way different cultures, but it's doable.

No
For most immigrants, especially the people from countries like China nowadays, there are only a few legal and common ways to immigrate to a wealthy western country:
1.Skilled immigrants, beneficial to the country of immigration
2. Business and investment immigrants, beneficial to the country of immigration
3. Marriage, not harmful in anyway
4. Asylum(political or religious reasons), harmless in most cases.
Unless you were talking about refugees, but you used China as an example, so I'm using it too just to be fair.

these are the result of colonalization, the countries' lack of natural resources, bad climate and because they are forced to play an inferior role in the global economy etc, to sum up causes they are not responsible for and they have little control over.

They have control on making life, that's the ultimate power and their natural growth is enormous

No country has to accept immigrants, the low birth rate is a pretty big reason for why they do.

They don't have too but many do out of humanitarian reasons, ie thousands are stuck in Italy and they have nowhere to go back to, putting a huge strain on an already impoverished country

Is it fair that the refugee has nowhere else to go? What else would you do with them, shoot them? It is fair to give them somewhere to stay whilst the issues in wherever they came from are resolved.

I picked 'a bit fair', because there isn't a definite yes/no answer to this question.
Immigrants should be accepted according to the economic needs of a country. If a country needs cheap labour or has a collapsing social security system because of low births, then immigration is fair to both sides. If, however a country is closing its borders and yet people keep flowing into that country, then it is very unfair for its citizens.

Immigration should only be allowed when said person is interested in working in your country and has a qualification, has part of their family already living in your country or had to move out of their own country because of a commotion of sorts resulting in said country being inhabitable.

What's unfair is people thinking they own parts of the world and that others can't enjoy them.

Without immigrants, Europe will be over in a few decades. With them it might be inconvenient, but your parents' pensions will be secured. And if you still don't want immigration, just have more children. Having 2-3 kids is not that difficult and kids are fun.
