So? Do you like this country or do you think it's a flop? A lot of people outside the US don't seem to think very positive of it, so I was just curious.

I personally love it here. The diversity of people, diversity of climate, diversity of cities, and just the sheer variety of this country makes it a great place imo.

The US is a mess. It's government is a mess. It really, really needs to do something about its awful gun laws, and more states need to legalize gay marriage.

But the American people are very lovely, and has many beauitful sights to see (The Grand Canyon being my favourite..)

Canada still remains the better place to live though.

everyone seems to either hate or love the US but tbh for a developed country it's actually just pretty average
we have some bad points and some good points and they balance in about the same way as average. we're better than some developed countries and worse than others and that's pretty much all there is to it

I was born and raised here and i've always felt a disconnection with american culture and it's people. i don't feel welcomed in this country. I have no heritage or culture here It's like I'm in a foreign land.

It is a mess and I would never live there. What is happening right now is so laughable. So many better countries in the world. Canada, Sweden, Norway, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Iceland, etc etc.

Yeah pretty much this. No country is really without its imperfections at this point in time. There are things that the US excels in; and things that the US is absolute drivel in. It's still a first world nation; and I wouldn't mind living in most first world nations.

Human rights are limited. Most states don't have gay marriage, Americans have very limited privacy and the prisons are horrible
