How is Katy more global than Taylor when 1989 has sold more albums worldwide than almost Katy's entire album catalogue? Not to mention how global Taylor will be once the 1989 tour receipts start pouring in.

they're saying this because a majority of Taylor's sales come from the US and aren't as evenly distributed as Katy's are, for instance. But she has literally had one and a half pop eras and the rest of the world doesn't really use country... still doesn't stop Taylor from decimating virtually any and every artist from a selling and now a streaming standpoint
