J.K. Rowling regrets Ron and Hermione’s relationship

In a new interview conducted by Emma Watson, Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling drops a bombshell: She regrets putting Ron and Hermione together.
The shocking revelation came in the new issue of Wonderland which Watson is a guest editor of this month. The comments were obtained by The Sunday Times.
Rowling says that she should have put Hermione and Harry together in the Harry Potter series instead of Hermione and Ron, according to the publication’s headline which reads “JK admits Hermione should have wed Harry.”
“I wrote the Hermione/Ron relationship as a form of wish fulfillment,” she says. “That’s how it was conceived, really. For reasons that have very little to do with literature and far more to do with me clinging to the plot as I first imagined it, Hermione ended up with Ron.”
I've always thought Harry and Hermoine made more sense in the overall scheme of the plot versus how it felt Hermoine and Ron being thrown together after the initial books in the series.
Hermoine and Ron are cute but Hermoine and Harry made more sense as the series went on and they had numerous important moments together.
She should regret the entire epilogue to be honest.
I wish people would move on though. There's a world of literature out there why is this children's series that is over still being discussed to death? Go read something new please.
I thought Harry & Hermione would've ended up together as well but I'm glad it didn't happen. The protagonist ending up with his best friend is too predictable. Ron didn't really like Hermione at first which makes it even better.
