with all the trouble between Ron and Hermione, I don't think it was a twist at all. they were bound to end up together from the start. i trust jk rowling when she says they might not last without counseling, but their relationship needed to happen.

I think Ron and Hermione were okay, although Hermione with Draco (like it almost happened in A Very Potter Sequel) would have been miles better and a great twist, Hermione with Victor would have been better too.
