Simon wants Chezza to save his show
SIMON Cowell has held secret talks with Cheryl Cole in a bid to get her back on the UK X Factor, telling the beauty: Name your price.
The desperate music mogul met her at his Beverly Hills mansion and is determined to axe Tulisa Contostavlos to make way for the Girls Aloud star.
Cheryl, 29, was left humiliated last year when Simon gave her place on the panel of the US version to former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger. But he now sees her as the saviour of the British show, which has lost an alarming 3million viewers this year.
One Saturday night live programme saw ratings plummet to just 7.6million — compared to the 19.4million fans who watched Cheryl and Simon, 53, in the 2010 final.
A source close to Simon last night told The Sun: “He’s desperate to get Cheryl back on X Factor UK because it’s lost its way.
“The money on the table would be a fortune — at least double what she got last time. She could have what she wanted.”
Simon’s spokesman Max Clifford yesterday admitted that his client “thinks a lot of Cheryl”. He added: “It was him that gave her the break on X Factor in England and America. He wants to rebuild the relationship.”
Simon would love to return himself but his commitment to the US show makes it “incredibly difficult”. Our source added: “He doesn’t want to see X Factor going down the way it is and he thinks Cheryl is the next best thing to him.”
Tulisa’s wild behaviour, including the emergence of a sex tape and several unsuitable lovers, has brought the show unwelcome attention.
The 24-year-old singer’s failure to get any contestant even as far as the quarter finals after being gifted the girls category has also left her boss unimpressed.
The insider revealed: “Simon wants to get rid of Tulisa so this meeting will be part and parcel of that.”
Gary Barlow’s future as a judge is also said to be in the balance as Simon thinks he has no ear for talent.
Simon is also worried his act Christopher Maloney could win and dent what is left of X Factor’s credibility.
Our source continued: “Simon thinks he’s very nice but who has Gary ever made into a star? He didn’t want him in the last series but there was no one better and ITV backed Gary.”

yeah, is from the sun. But the Sun was not the first UK gossip site to report this and Chezza was indeed on Simon's house on Wednesday night.
Cheryl Outside Simon's house in LA
All the lessors that have tried to take her place have failed to maintain good raitings on the show. They know they need Cheryl to get this shiiittty show better. This year has been terrible.
Simon, please bring Dannii or Mel B as well and it'll be perfect.
No but really i dont think I want her to do it tbh.
Unless she gets a $h!t load of money.
and it might be good since the bitch is lazy to promote her album so by being there it might sell without having to promote. Oh well, time will tell.
