Local Lousiana media are reporting that there was a shooting Thursday night at The Grand Theater on Johnston Street in Lafayette, Louisiana.
City Marshall Brian Pope told The Daily Advertiser, a newspaper in Lafayette, that six people were injured in the shooting. Some are reporting that the shooter then turned the gun on himself and is now dead.
Lafayette is a city of around 120,000 people located southwest of Baton Rouge.
The Daily Advertiser's Seth Dickerson is reporting that two are dead, including the shooter.
Katie Domingue told The Daily Advertiser that 20 minutes into the 7 pm showing of "Train Wreck," she heard "a loud pop" and saw an "older white man" shooting, though not in her direction.
And MY GOD I pray that there are no more fatalities then the 2 that have been reported...it really pisses me off that American refuses to implement tougher gun regulations
