Well there's reports saying that he's
a white supremacist and supports anti-gay organizations. This wasn't a hate crime or anything but in general that sounds like a person of hate to me. He has a history of mental issues but he also had plans of this shooting and escaping, so they're still trying to put the pieces together.
I'm pretty sure most of us here believe that there is something wrong with anyone that commits these kind of acts and this mans race has nothing to do with the crime. But to explain the previous posts in this thread... people also know that it wouldn't be depicted as mental illness if it were someone of a minority race. That's the media's fault because they shape peoples perceptions on race when it comes to crime - if it were a Muslim we'll automatically question terrorism before mental illness or if it were a black man he'd just be a thug, we wouldn't care if he was mentally ill. So when the reports described him as a white male and used the term "lone wolf" we already knew where this was going before more details were given out. A sob story from the family and the mental illness cop-out for a mass shooting.
