Helping you connect with your fans is extremely important for you and for us. This includes replacing little-used features with better ones. Currently video responses have a click-through rate of .0004% -- in other words, only 4 out of every 1 million users who sees a video response clicks on it. So, on September 12 we’re going to retire this little-used feature as we work to develop more effective fan engagement tools for creators. The team is focused on enabling you to share video links in comments. Doing this in comments will let creators and viewers add more context to a video, and more context should drive more engagement.
In the meantime, you can continue to encourage fans to upload videos with specific titles, hashtags or descriptions (e.g., Video Response To Taylor Swift's Video "22"), so you can find these by searching for them. If you want to highlight them, you can use playlists and channel sections instead of displaying these videos below yours. Any video responses you or your fans have made will still be available and discoverable.
Also, to help your audience find more of your channel’s videos we recommend using features like InVideo Programming.

I know alot of you may not care that much but video responses were one of the original perks of youtube.. crazy how they are changing for the worst.
In a way though if you think about it Youtube has made it MUCH much harder to get yourself known.. unless you're already known. Video Responses were (for some people I'm assuming) their way of getting that small amount of viewers.
Yeah, nobody really uses it anymore, and if they do then it's for wrong reasons.. but it's kind of sad because for Q&As and stuff that the big Youtubers do, they sometimes depend on this feature. But it's not the biggest loss.
Video responses were kinda worthless IMO, it's obvious based on the given information that no one cares for them either. Glad to see Youtube responds well to what consumers like/dislike and I'm excited to see what new features they come up with.
I'm just sad they removed the page with the top most viewed videos. Now, the front page is just full of sponsored stuff and 1 or 2 popular videos for the day.
They need to remove that recommended for you ish tho, I keep on getting videos that were made like 5 years ago from my subscribed youtubers. They also need to allow for customizable user pages like before.
