Justin’s new single “Boyfriend” will be played for the first time this Monday (26th March) on CapitalFM.
BOYFRIEND will be aired after 5am and played repeatedly throughout the day.
BOYFRIEND is the first to be released from Justin’s upcoming album ‘Believe’ and he has been teasing details of the song ever since he announced the release on the Ellen DeGeneres show.
In addition, Justin has recorded a special message for all the Capital FM listeners.
It's currently unclear as to whether a full-scale Clear Channel deal is on our hands, but at least a few stations around the country are preparing to debut Bieber's single on Monday.
In addition, legions of Beliebers are preparing to take on We Are Young for the #1 spot on the Hot 100 this week. They've started a campaign, code-named #OperationgBIEBERBLAST just for this song. Note: Generally, they use the term "Bieberblast" when pushing any of his material collectively.
The longest teaser snippet released thus far is below:
If this doesn't debut #1, I'll re-consider my views on their stanbase. Major stanbases not getting their artists' lead singles to debut #1 (or hell, in the Top 10) in the digital era is in-excusable in this day and age.

Yeah, but we have fun. at #1 selling 350K a week with +5M updates every day on radio.
The only debut of the digital era large enough to take that on is Born This Way.
We Are Young will probably sell around 300k next week. By the time airplay tracking ends the following Tuesday, it will have around 120M AI (and I'm being conservative).

I agree that 350k won't ensure a #1 debut but once JB removes WAY from the #1 spot, they will lose that exposure and likely fall a bit more than just to 300k. I can see them falling to ~250k, which is obviously still huge but it won't require Justin to sell as much to get #1.
The song is sounding kinda hot. Still have to hear the whole thing to form a solid opinion, but I can see this one doing 400k+. It has the full 7 days, too.
I doubt it'll do much more than 250K. But his albums usually sell like clockwork week after week.
That makes no sense. The Jonas Brothers were able to sell 525k of their second album (after the blew up), so it would shock me if Justin wasn't able to sell huge numbers following the huge success of MW2.0.
It depends on how he does on radio, as well. Personally, they should Clear Channel this one, because there's a good chance radio won't embrace it unless people force them to.
