A #1 is very unlikely tbh (and the first week is his best shot.) 350K won't secure a #1 debut. I honestly doubt even 400K would. 'We Are Young' will surely have over 130 million AI by then and it will sell at least 300K (probably around 330K.) The On-Demand Songs chart now helps define the Hot 100 chart and 'We Are Young' had the largest increase in streaming activity last week. I really don't see it happening.

Perhaps with a full radio deal a la ‘Born This Way’/’You Da One’/’Give Me All Your Luvin’,’ since he’ll surely pull much bigger numbers than the latter two. He’d still have to do at least 400K.

Or Bieber will drop like a rock after a few days, just like the Mistletoe song which presented Bieber's "new side".

You just proved his point though. It sold almost 1.5 million (it heavily benefited from the holiday/Black Friday week sales,) but it dropped off the Billboard 200 after only 8 weeks.

His album will debut at #1, that goes without saying. It different with singles, since he lacks real radio support. His biggest radio hit peaked at #24 and #14 on Pop radio.

His stan base is huge, but I don't know if they will be able to get him to #1. Top 5 probably, but he will have to depend on casual fans to buy the song is they want a #1 so the song better be hot.

That said, I think Justin needs 450k+ to dethrone Fun. Looks possible if he can keep it up on iTunes.

Even with a radio deal, you have to sell a huge amount for a #1 debut. Just look at what happened with YDO and GMAYL. A huge radio deal doesn't mean anything unless you can push over 400k or 500k.

It's not even clear if he has a deal. I think it might be riding hype, because the radio updates yesterday versus today were quite different.
