I know we have a box office thread but I thought that this was so big it deserved its own thread.

lint Eastwood's American Sniper is smashing records at the North American box office, where it's now projected to earn $75 million or more over the long Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, well ahead of expectations.
That would mark the largest opening of all time for the month of January, as well as for a modern-day war movie. To boot, it is one of the top nationwide debuts for an R-rated title. Friday's take alone was an estimated $28 million-$30 million, including $5.3 million from late-night Thursday runs.
Just came back from the movie. It was horrible and offensive.
What did you honestly expect? Clint Eastwood told the story from the Sniper's perspective... Bradley Cooper did a good job in this movie... he might snatch dat Oscar!
Movie was overrated, and the stories about what kind of person the guy really was don't help either. Though I do respect him for fighting for his country.
I hated it tbh. Even Bradley wasn't that good. Don't get all the Oscar nominations and hype. It's like they keep on making the same movie about soldiers going to war.
