Ok, we all know Britney Spears has been the queen of the TRL countdown, but how do you think she'll fair against Kelly Clarkson who’s recently become a countdown juggernaut; who do you guys think will do better on the countdown in 2007 and who do you like the most.

I think Clarkson is the better artists and I also think she'll do a lot better than Britney on the countdown.

Logically Kelly Clarkson will kick her butt on the countdown. Britney will only get a couple of days at one while Kelly will get triple amount.

As mush as I like Christina I have to admit she has never been able to beat Britney on the countdown as in being on a higher position than her for a longer time. Well, she did once back in late 1999 and early 2000 when her What a Girl Wants trampled Britney's From the Bottom of My Broken Heart.

Britney Spears barely ever gets days atop the countdown.

Kelly's only song to NOT go to #1 was The Trouble With Love Is... right?

That's because of BSB and NSYNC were hogging the #1 spot, notice how Christina also didn't get to #1 that much with her first few videos.

I'd rather the labelmates hog the countdown. Christina and then she passes it on to Kelly. How did Do Something and My Perogative and that other song she did in the silver dress do?

You can look that up on the TRL ARTISTS run section. Do Something and My Prerogative both made the countdown 47 days, while Toxic retired with 52 days and peaked at #1 16 times.

i think kelly def has a bigger fan base right now, but i doubt she will ever regain the massive success that was "behind these hazel eyes"; "because of you" and "walk away"

however, britney's last video, "someday (i will understand)" flopped on the countdown, and the paparazzi and tabloids have made her into a big joke, so idk if she will ever regain the respect (if that's what you wanna call it) she once had as a musician to keep her on the top of the countdown, or even on the countdown at all...

I think she makes great videos.

^Yeah her videos are good. Maybe people that arents fans of her might think the Walk Away video was stupid but that video is kind of true. People love to belt out her songs but is way to afraid to admit it.

Obviously I don't think anyone of us can answer that because you don't know how people view Britney because 1 day you might like her and then the next you might hate her, but she has done pretty good on the countdown and yes I will admit that Someday might not have stayed on the countdown very long, but it did do okay with jumping up and staying in the top 5 for a little bit.

Kelly Clarkson also has a very impressive resume when it comes to countdown success, but it sometimes depends on who is right behind her with how much success she will have such as with Behind These Hazel Eyes: Mariah Carey - We Belong Together, Fall Out Boy - Sugar, We're Goin Down , My Chemical Romance - Helena, and Hilary Duff - Wake Up all beat her when she had that song for #1, but she did have 33 days at the spot with that song, so even though strong competitors are right behind her, she can still pull out on top.

And with Because of You: Fall Out Boy - Dance, Dance, Lindsay Lohan - Confessions of a Broken Heart, Mariah Carey - Don't Forget About Us, Hilary Duff - Beat of My Heart, Madonna - Hung Up, and Avenged Sevenfold - Bat Country. 26 day @ #1.

Now you can see how Kelly Clarkson's last 3 videos have fared on TRL, but I think they kind of got a little weaker each time and so that's why you see more people beating her for the top spot and less day at #1.

Now in 2007, Britney could pull off some song that will just flop or could just rock the charts and be one of her best songs, but the same goes for Kelly Clarkson. Only time will tell if Britney or Kelly does what they are capable of on TRL and in music.

Both have been regarded as amazing on TRL, but literally, Britney Spears has fallen at the finish line with "My Prerogative" and "Do Somethin,'" with 47 days a piece. Along with "Someday" (I Will Understand)'s feeble 13 days the countdown, all her other videos have retired and that's ALOT. Despite Kelly Clarkson's, amazing runs with 4 retired videos, I believe she has a while more to go to compare to Britney Spears on TRL.

The last three Britney videos did not retire because they weren't successful on the charts, so people weren't as willing to vote for them.
