That's incredible! He totally deserves it!

Er...totally backing Obama but I'm really dumbstruck that he was given this honor 9 months after becoming president with no significant international accomplishment of sorts besides his Cairo speech or his attempts to better position the US in the world.

But I'm thrilled he got it anyways and cannot wait to see how the GOP fearmongers (and those on WorldNetDaily) spin this ****.

You're not alone in shock. I think he's on the right path to getting one in the future if he follows through on his vision, but it blows my mind that he received it this early. Perhaps their intention was to keep him on track with his international promises. He has to be feeling much more pressure now.

Edit: The WH just announced that Obama will be donating the entire $1.4 million from the Nobel Prize to a charity.

congrats to him, but....nothing has really improved in this country since he went into office. The economy is still horrible (probably worse) and nothing has gotten done. People are worshiping him like he is Jesus Christ which is wrong. He was way too hyped up from the start.

I think we have a better plan in place now than Bush ever had. Just give it time.

^anyone can do better than Bush, so that's necessarily anything to brag about. Sure he supposedly has a plan to improve things, but is he ever going to use it?

also, its going to be REALLY hard to improve the economy, no matter how hard anyone tries. Unemployment is high and so many jobs went overseas. You really can't bring them back either.
