I disagree a lot with this list, so I thought maybe a lot of other people disagree as well and considering this list hardly takes Chart data into consideration, Billboard's opinion is not any more important than ours, so let's make:

ATRL's top 10 defining artists of the decade so far

Give your top 10 and in the end we can calculate and see the overall top 10

Please give short explanation for each artist and try not to be too biased (obviously your favs will probably end up in top3 , but at least don't exclude artists you hate etc. be FAIR)

You can consider INFLUENCE, IMPACT, ACCLAIM, SUCCESS, EVERYTHING.

1. Beyoncé

Her and Jay have definitely built there empire higher this decade and she is so impactful and global. MCSWT is legendary.

2. Lady Gaga
Her redefining of pop continued on into 2010/11 and she's had major impact on new artists and what's popular on the radio this decade. Literally none of these girls would be running around in crazy wigs and couture if it wasn't for Gaga. ICON.

3. Rihanna
FASHION.ICON.

4. Adele
21 and she basically invented Sam Smith and opened doors for Lana and Lorde.

5. Drake
Brilliant rapper who's loved by millions of white teens and has had major impact.

6. Nicki Minaj
QUEEN.OF.RAP.

7. Taylor Swift
Hits but she basic and will have no impact. Same for Katy.

8. Katy Perry

9. Kanye West
Rap genius

10. Lana Del Rey
Her sales are amazing and she has opened doors for other indie females. White emo girls on tumblr love ha and so do the gays.

10. Nicki Minaj - The Queen of Rap music. Just count the rap girls before Nicki (I mean the few years, not talking about Lil Kim etc. but from 2005 to 2010) and then the rap girls after Nicki..... #IMPACT
09. Eminem - The King of rap. Needs no explanation, I'll just add honorable mention - Kanye West.
08. Taylor Swift - the biggest sweetheart since Britney.
07. Bruno Mars - The new king of pop
06. Katy Perry - Queen of fun music
05. Justin Bieber - The biggest male phenomenon of the last 10 years+. DESERVES A HUGE ASS CREDIT. GIVE IT WHERE IT'S DUE !!! How many teen stars appeared after Bieber ? Not just males, but also females. All of those Cody Simpson, Austin Mahone and so on, this is Justin Bieber impact. Of course the biggest one is, which is also a honorable mention - ONE DIRECTION

02. Adele - The biggest change in top 40 since Gaga's dance weave.
