New Jersey 50/50 for same-sex marriage
http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/200..._marriage.html
Direct from article:
"Backers of same-sex marriage contend same-sex couples are unfairly denied important benefits readily available to heterosexual married couples. They say the state’s civil-unions law is hard to enforce, and that even hospital visits by a partner can be denied.
Opponents of same-sex marriage argue that the traditional institution of marriage between one man and one woman should not be redefined and changed, and that same-sex relationships should not be condoned."
^^^ Are they crazy? It's 2009; not 1959.
"WHERE IT'S LEGAL
Same-sex marriage is legal in four states — Massachusetts, Connecticut, Iowa, Vermont — and will become legal in New Hampshire next year."
This is wrong in every single way, what is happening to the country?

People just don't believe in equal rights. It's pathetic.

This is America, and all other matters aside, people should do what they want, where they want, WITH WHO THEY WANT, and they should be able to live their lives how they want to, end of story. People are so old-fashioned that I hope to God that they haven't realized how cold and heartless they really are.

There is no such thing as gay marriage. It has always puzzled my why they call it that. They should call it gay jointness or something idk. lol
Marriage originates as a biblical term, and it's a spiritual thing, and some people don't know that. A marriage is a life-long union made for a man and a woman to become one flesh. A man and a man cannot become one flesh, therefore they are never married.
So it puzzles me as to why they have pastors or priests ordaining a gay marriage when that's not even possible, because it's contradictory, considering that the Bible speaks highly against homosexual relations.
Or are they reading from the Bible? It's quite interesting actually.

True, but it IS possible for a man and a man or a woman and a woman to have a life long union. And let's face the facts, alot has changed in 2000 years; I think the Bible would be a little more lenient if it was written around this time.

True, but that's in the eyes of man, not in the eyes of God.
And the Bible is was not written by men upon their own interpretation and opinion. They were given by divine inspiration through holy men of God who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
So no, the Bible would still be the same, regardless of when it was written. God's words never change.

Maybe his opinions changed. We'll really never know, though. Well, until after we die.

The US is such a conservative country and a 20-30% of the people, especially in the south, is completely ignorant. I'm so glad Canada and some European countries have legalized gay marriage.
Do u think it is just a coincidence the most atheist countries are the most prosperous in the world? See Canada, Sweded, Norway, Denmark etc...
I'm so glad I don't live in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Alabama, Louisiana etc...

God is always in everyones heart, and if he felt that same sex was going too far off path, then that's another story. I think he's accepting of all love and every love as long as there's no cheating.

He doesn't have "opinions". When He says something, it's written in stone. God would never mislead us like that.

He does indeed love everyone, but that doesn't change his Law.
1 Corinthians 6:9-11
Quote:
9 Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, 10 or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God. 11 Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

If all that were true, we'd all be going to hell.

Nope. We are all sinners of course, but God saves those who have accpeted it and understand they are wrong and make the effort not to do so. We may trip up with temptation, but He knows our hearts and He can tell those who truly know their mistakes and make the effort not to from those who know what's wrong but continue to do it anyways. Those are the people who will be saved.

Well that's ironic, considering the Catholic church views homosexuality as a "disorder" and sin.
