Stats: Hot 100 Top 10 Streaks

(I couldn't find a thread about this and I've always been interested in it so lemme know if there's already one)

Anyway, this thread will be for Hot 100 Top Streaks. I know the Queen of Pop Janet holds the record for most (I believe a massive 18 consecutive hits ) but I wanted to have a list of other impressive streaks. Preferably at least a top 10? There's no timeline for this so it doesn't have to be "since debut" or "this decade" only. Just who had the most in a row before Marrying the Night ( )

Her streak goes from Miss You Much (89) all the way to Someone to Call My Lover in 2001. That's like 21 in a row + the 2 top 10 features she did in that time frame. Is this really all consecutive?? She's got a lot of other releases that look like they didn't chart at all in the middle of it.

Ok so Every Time is the song that messes it up. Big time, too. #25 on the Bubbling Under Chart. A travesty! I love that song.

I get the 'no features' thing but Billboard counts them only if they go top 10. That way a feature that misses the top 10 doesn't count against her streak. Thought the Busta song counted, too but it's after Every Time.

Ok that settles that. 18 for Janet.

I don't think "Every Time" was released in the US as a single. "Love Me, Love Me" (Shaggy feat. Janet) ended the streak. It was around the time Billboard started allowing songs without a commercial release to chart, so it only peaked at like #78 despite a lot of airplay.
