LOL *maybe* worldwide, but I'm sure Beyonce is talking about releasing it here in the US and Beyonce is so much bigger than her here. Everything from the Oral Vixation/Fijacion Oral era, besides Hips Don't Lie of course, flopped for Shakira here. Every Bee song (ever), besides Ring the Alarm + Work It Out of course, went Top 10 here. Shaki could use Bee's name on her song.

As for the duet, Beyonce is the one asking for it to happen, not Shakira. Take that as a hint. As if Shakira needs to get publicity through Beyonce................ If she really wanted to she could, ummm, like just go out and promote her music herself. Shakira is choosing not to, and has been refusing to promote at all for the past 5+ months.

The duet could turn out to be actually turn out to be interesting if it ends up happening.

Considering that she was pretty much the only household name on the Latin chart and usually is, I really don't think that's much of an accomplishment. And since when was #23 impressive? Respectable...not impressive.

I usually agree with Nick but Mig is right, #23 for a song that was NEVER released to the english radio stations first of all is amazing, just that alone and then we have the fact that its a spanish song...and then the other records.

Now about this duet, the rumour have been on the net for a while now...MONTHS? and I saw it comming. I seriously can't wait for this, Shakira always produce good songs and now she and Beyonce combined... something HOT must come out of this.

Agreed. It's not every day you get ENGLISH radio stations to play a completely SPANISH song. That's a lot more than just "respectable", that's a great accomplishment, a breakthrough. Having "LT" be the #1 played song on Z100, the biggest Pop station in the U.S., for weeks = amazing.

It clocks in at #5 on the United World Chart for the Top Tracks of 2005.

Beyonce is so DESPERATE she wants attention and publicity no matter what i mean her new album is not even 3 months old and she has released 5 singles already (deja vu, RTA, Irreplaceable, Listen and Upgrade U) waiting to see if one of the singles becomes a hit already PATHETIC i would say
