This article actually makes sense though if you read it. Although I disagree with his stance on Gaga's pop culture relevancy, I do think that the author made some really good points here.
I have to say I kinda agree... I mean everybody already knew that the radicals were just doing this for money (at least thats what the Indonesian members of ATRL said), they shouldn't be allowed to bully American's. I could see if it was a legit concern to them, like if she killed animals on stage or had massive orgies in front of the audience. But she's just eccentric, and they take advantage of that for the money.

Many of the Islamic extremists would probably prefer that their country does not receive funds from the US, but in the end it would be the rest of the population who would suffer for it (just as Gaga's Indonesian fans were the ones who suffered from the concert being cancelled). It's not so cut and dry when you're implementing policy that would have a universal effect in order to essentially enforce sanctions against a particular sub-group.

Yeah that is a really good point, idk I just think (not being racist) those countries should open up a little bit more to the western world, or even other asian countries like Japan. Most of the people protesting are really just scared of her because she spreads her message of freedom and equality for all, and they are so used to being sheltered by their religion that they see her ways as satanic.

While I disagree with Gaga being relevant, they make some interesting points.

Gaga thinks her gay rights campaigning is separating her from her peers giving her an important role in society as more than a musician yet popstars (like Madonna) have been doing it for decades, it was never a risk to support it as a new female popstar. The only reason it backfired on her was because she made it overshadow her music and sounded preachy and as if she was trying to hard to a representative of something she hadn't been chosen for. If she wants to do something more important than pop music that makes her remembered in society and does actually push the envelope she should stand up to xenophobia and homophobia in these muslim nations she's making a profit of from touring where it is an actual risk, unlike the U.S.

Are you familiar with the Washington Times? It's basically the Fox News of newspapers. It's not even on the New York Post's level.

This article is so ignorant on so many levels. In his crusade against muslims did he recall that radical christians threaten, protest and are pretty bad themselves. An american pastor the other week said gays should all be locked up behind an electric fence. So his america vs islam narrative is annoying.

Also, leftists don't hate israel they dislike the unhealthy relationship the US has with it. America wouldn't be the target of so many middle eastern extremists if they would stop meddling. Israel basically intentionally pisses off other middle eastern countries knowing full well big brother america will protect them.

I'm not even going to touch the generalizations and false assumptions made of gaga because that is the least of the articles problems.

Conservatives are Pro-Israel though. Think before hating those who are to the right, while you are left. Everyone has different political opinions, doesn't make either side "GODDAMMED CRAZY" as you said in a later post.
