Bruno Mars couldn't have hoped for a better promotional clip for "Marry Me" than the video of Isaac Lamb proposing to his girlfriend Amy Frankel as she's slowly driven through the streets of Portland, Oregon, in the open back of a Honda CRV while a cast of dozens sing and dance along.

Posted by the future groom on Friday, May 25, the unabashedly romantic gesture has, of course, gone viral, passing 1.6. million views on Vimeo and another 3.8 million on YouTube by noon on Memorial Day.

Lamb calls it the world's first live lip-dub proposal. And whether that's the case or not, the comments are flooded with people saying it brought them to tears for a reason.

According to one of the comments, Lamb and Frankel are, not surprisingly, theater people -- members of the Third Rail Repertory Company. Frankel is "one of the top stage choreographers in Portland" and recently choreographed a production of "Candide" for the Portland Opera Company. Lamb is currently starring in a production of the 1989 Broadway musical "City of Angels" at Lakewood Theatre Company in Lake Oswego.
