So I'm sure everyone realizes by now that The Evolution has leaked. The few tracks I've listened to thus far are really good and show a lot of growth. Surprisingly my favorite is actually a ballad called "My Love" and it is strange because usually Ciara's slower material isn't my fave but this and "Promise" have surprised me.
There is also the song which features Lil Jon called "That's Right" which is typical, hard dancing Ciara type music. Another fave.
So I'm thinking she'll be sticking around . . . at least for another album or two. ^_^
I don't see the evolution after hearing the tracks. In fact; I think that "The Evolution" and "Goodies" are on the same level. But it's a good album, not excellent like I thought it could have been.
I would agree with you if you were talking about her first album (minus the singles) but this album is really great. Definately shows growth. My faves are That's Right, My Love, I Proceed, Promise, and So Hard
The album isn't exactly different, she stayed with what she knew, but she did expand. Personally, I love the album. Every song at the least, tolerable, and I like a lot of them. I'm pleasantly surprised, and I'm sure Brian loves it, lol.
