You have it right there. A lot of gay people have straight relationships, especially when they're much younger. I barely knew what sex was in sixth grade; there's no way I could have known what it meant to be gay. (Yes, I knew I was different, and I knew I didn't feel the same way about girls that my friends did, but that's not what I'm saying).
But I never felt any different. I liked girls the same way that the rest of my friends did. Trust me, I was attracted to girls emotionally and physically. Either way, it's a strange coincidence.
