Yes. If you really have a connection with someone you shouldn't let something they can't control stop you from being together, escpecially when there are already ways to avoid getting the virus yourself. And they could probably use help and support with something like that. So If you do like them, then HIV shouldn't stop you from showing that. I'm HIV- and if someone I really had strong feelings for, or even just a crush on or they're just a new person who I might be interested in, told me they were HIV+, I would never let that affect my opinion of them at all.

Eh... I would have a hard time romantically linking myself with a person that is HIV+ because I would feel so bad seeing them so sickly all of the time.

If it's transmitted sexually I'd not date the person. If he/she got it through transfusion, breastfeeding or from his/her mom, it'd not cloud my judgment. This is not discrimination, I'm not preventing them from being in social life in any shape or form, I'm just endorsing self-care and critical thinking in my personal relationships. Life is not a joke. Everybody needs to take responsibility for their actions and learn to live with the consequences of their choices.
