It saddens me to think that fans, whom may never get a chance to see her again, had their one chance ruined by a backwards extremist group. It really is a damn shame.
Conversely, I'm relieved that Gaga isn't doing the concert as I was worried for her own safety, and of course that of the fans.
This whole issue really makes me feel very conflicted

I have literally lurked ATRL for most of this year and I guess I decided to join, although it took bloody ages for them to accept my membership (more than a week).

All the muslims I know stopped liking Gaga since "Fame Monster" era started, let alone "Born" era. And from the current news, I think that Gaga shouldn't perform in countries with a huge population of Muslims, especially in Asia where there are many extremists.
