See, what I was trying to point out with this is that, while less of Gaga's discography becomes a major hit, that which does become a major hit for her is far bigger, usually, than that for most other pop girls. What other female in the pop world charts not one, but two singles from the same era on the IFPI charts, let alone does that twice?
That's certainly not to say the other girls' hits aren't big and influential, but come on. 9m+ twice, and 8m+, and two 7m+ hits. Both Katy and Rihanna have only one possible entry for 2012 so far, and that's assuming they aren't surpassed by too many other songs. Either way they'd be up to 3 total, not 5.
