Ive made hit threads and I'm still not really known here...so...
Being an attention ***** certainly gains you attention, but not the RIGHT kind.
With all the thousands of members here, most are homogeneous in a sense that they're all the "same per-se"; hence, it can get really boring with some people. I think one way you can be known and popular is be unique. Find your own style - hell I have styles that pissed people the **** off and that's how I got known - and they will take notice of you. Even if now I'm all toned down, and I'm all done with the shading in SYG.. I just grew out of it. I already said I hate XYZ so there's no need to extend that warranty.
I think I know who you have in mind.
