Pharrell Williams supports gays? (and human beings)
Quote:
Right before tearing down the stage at Irving Plaza last night with special guest Santigold, the Virginia native took some time out to talk politics, music and skateboarding, among other things, in an exclusive interview with Mass Appeal Magazine.
Here are Pharrell’s thoughts on President Obama’s endorsement of same-sex marriage:
Speaking of differences, what are your thoughts about Barack Obama coming out in support of gay marriage? A lot of your fans are gay, young kids.
P: Right.
Any thoughts or feelings on that?
P: I make music for human beings, so… I think the President addressed human beings. I make music for human beings, we all do! All of us musicians make music for human beings. There’s differences all across the board but, you know, you have a life! You’re a human being. I hope that answer will suffice because, to me, at the end of the day, we’re all humans. You don’t gotta like everything! Live and let live, man!
Breaking it down to its simplest terms, Pharrell makes it clear: it’s a human being thing.

of course he does, now that Obama does.
It's sad that 50 Cent, T.I., Jay-Z & him couldn't say it before but now they can, JUST SAD!

Don't most homosexuals tend to support gay marriage?

I find the way he answered the question very interesting. He's not being sketchy or removed from his opinion, but he isn't being full-out and direct about it. Pharrell seems to be a very... different person. In a good way. I liked his answer.

You know, 50 Cent made a really interesting point regarding this topic:
Quote:
"Look how long it took [Obama] to say he was for same sex marriages. You understand? I’m up for it. If everyone is for it, then hey, to each his own."

It's not that simple.
Anyway, I'm glad hip-hop artists are finally coming out and stating the truth.

yeah. there's really no reason to feel excited about this. he was intentionally vague and didn't end up saying much of anything.
