You sound ignorant and no it's not. I've had dreads for 4+ years now and all they do is put organic cream with fruit extraction in my hair and twist. And unlike "other" people we don't have to worry about lice issues or our hair smelling like a wet dog after it rains.

That's kind of why I fell back from really posting on this board. There is too much ignorant and racist **** (especially in the non-moderated threads) that's thrown around at Black celebs.
