I'm getting annoyed that I can't watch this whole video. ****ing work. I've seen the first minute but it keeps freezing and making all the computers here go slow so I'm out of luck til I get home for a break. 
I like what I've seen so far though.. it's not nearly as terrible as some people are making it out to be. 
It does seem somewhat low budget but it's really good considering. It's not Kelly's fault if RCA gave her/the director a small budget and they had to work with what they had. Personally I don't think it matters.. the video looks very nice so far.

I think you need to stop setting your expectations so high. It's not the most amazing video ever or anything, but I think it more than serves it's purpose. You and I definitely have different opinions on what "crap" is. But to each their own.

I like it, my expectations were pretty low so it is a lot better than I expected 
she looks great, the video fits the song perfectly and it has a great message ... it could have been a lot better but Kelly isn't big on video's so I didn't really expect it to be

Just watched the video. It's so cheesy it almost gives me second hand embarrassment. I died at the flower and seagulls and then the hugging put the nail in my coffin.
BUT, honestly Kelly isn't known as a video artist anymore so I'll just move on. I do miss the days where her videos were awesome, but she's made it clear that she doesn't care for videos, so that's that. I think the song will still do well and I care more about that.

Watch it again. That was my initial reaction. I'm on my 6th time watching and that went away but I'm still unwavering about the fact that the video is lackluster.
It's sad that we as stans have to make up excuses for why her video is so bad. "Oh, she doesn't care about videos," "Oh, RCA didn't give it a big enough budget." Ch. We know damn well Kelly could have asked for more money and she would have gotten the money. She is there only source of income. But Kelly is lazy and doesn't have the drive to get more than what she's given to deliver an epic video. You know it, I know it but I'll be the only one to say it. 
But enough about it. I hope it rises on the charts. The video can burn in hell but I'm not here to see Kelly flop. I better see a top 10.

If I thought it was laziness I would say it, but that never even crossed my mind. I just don't think she likes music videos so she doesn't put much time or energy into them. I remember she was overheard making fun of music videos and how pointless they are and how she doesn't like the VMAs.. as a big fan of hers I want her to be successful so I wish she liked music videos more but she doesn't so I accept that.
Also I disagree with people who say she is not driven; she is working very hard right now. Maybe not at the things you want her to be working hard at but she is working her ass off. I do wish she was less stubborn sometimes but at the same time I respect her for sticking to her guns when she could easily sell out.

This is where you're misguided. YOU may think the video is bad because you may be comparing her work to other pop stars. I don't think the video is bad and my low budget comment wasn't an excuse for it as I don't think it's bad. Just saying that could be the reason that the video isn't up to YOUR standards.
It all comes back to you expecting too much. But it's all good, you don't have to like the video.. everyone's different.
As long as we can all agree to support the song!

I saw many opinions of the video on twiitter and tumblr, everybody agreed with me, is her best video in this era and the non-fans think that the video is AWESOME 
Better video than stronger if this concept was used for stronger it could be a bigger smash

I agree that part of it is Kelly not having the drive to deliver something better, but again I think it comes down to her just not caring to. I"ve had issues with her lately about not giving the best she's got in general, not just in videos. If her stance is that she doesn't care about the popstar image, the videos, the clothes, the photoshoots, and just wants people to focus on her voice? That's great. However, she hasn't really delivered on the vocal performances lately either (where they count) so it's frustrating to watch as a stan. She's been avoiding big notes and not bringing life to her songs. I'm not here for that.
Sorry, I digressed, but the mediocrity of this video just really brought forth all the other stuff I've found mediocre lately.

No, Edge is right I think, Kelly's been lazy when it comes to the videos. She's performed brilliantly in them, but the fact is that her role in the videos is mostly as "narrator". Fair enough, I guess she doesn't really see the point.
HOWEVER, she most certainly has been amazing this era in general and not lazy in the slightest. Firstly, look at how much extra music we got! Then there's her The Voice mentoring, and now Duets and she's promoted the singles really well so far Not to mention the weight loss AND all this while balancing a social life/relationship. I'm so proud of my girl this era!
Once the next single is announced, I swear I'm gonna tweet/FB this b!tch like crazy ideas for the video, and make sure they all involve her playing a bigger role than just "narrator". That's kind of why I would LOVE Let Me Down - I see it being about domestic violence/abuse etc. I also would love another MLWSWY type video if the next single was IFY. I think if the fans make it clear to her we'd really love that kind of video, it could happen. Plus, she'd be less busy because Duets would be over by then.

yeah I agree that her performances lately have been pretty lackluster, with more production and some more energy/movement from her they would be so much better
