6. One
AVG. 8.42
Highest: 10 (DiamondDust, Ace)
Lowest: 7 (madonnas, Flashing Lights)
If you had told me when I started this rate that this dark horse would place just outside the top 5, I would have laughed. And yet here it is. I was 9 when this album was released, and I never really appreciated this song until this rate. It’s kind of a different, funky song coming from Faith, but it’s quite nice. Like When The Lights Go Down, this song is from the failed attempt at a crossover album, so it flopped on the charts. Sad.

So close, yet so far away.
Obviously, the top five should be this:
5. There You'll Be
4. The Way You Love Me
3. Breathe
2. This Kiss
1. Cry

What Remains (Alphabetically):
The Grammy-winning title track, Breathe
The other Grammy-winning title track, Cry
The country crossover hit, The Way You Love Me
The worldwide smash, There You'll Be
The signature song, This Kiss
Ace has made his prediction... Anyone else?

"Cry" needs to win this. No other Faith song moves me more.

I can't believe The Way You Love Me lasted this long, it's flawless of course, but very, very pop.
5. Cry
4. There You'll Be
3. The Way You Love Me
2. This Kiss
1. Breathe

Before we begin, I just want to say that I absolutely love all 5 of the remaining songs and I couldn't have asked for a better top 5. I also want to say thanks in advance to everyone who participated in this rate.

5. There You’ll Be
AVG. 8.72
High: 10 (aosorio19, castle13, JakeKills, lastkiss13)
Low: 3 (madonnas)
There You’ll Be. It’s the name of this rate. It’s the name of Faith’s first greatest hits album. It’s the theme song to the film Pearl Harbor. It was nominated for a Grammy and an Academy Award. It spent 14 weeks at #1 on the adult contemporary charts, and also peaked at #10 on the Hot 100. It reached the top 15 in Austria, Canada, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK. Thus, it’s the most global of Faith’s singles. It would have been #2 if it weren’t for madonnas. This is the song that somebody’s going to sing in 40-50 years for the Faith Hill tributes once she dies. I wanted this higher.

So that's where my other low score went. I didn't like it as much as her other songs.

4. The Way You Love Me
AVG. 8.95
High: 10 (aosorio19, Praise Mariallah, Ace, Flashing Lights, @Michael.)
Low: 7 (lastkiss13, CoS)
It should be obvious that this song made it so far because of how pop it is, but it is a big hit in its own right. It peaked at #7 on the Hot 100 and spent 4 weeks at #1 on the country charts. A few years ago, it was revealed that iCarly actress Jeanette McCurdy stars as Faith’s daughter in this song’s music video. This song had several remixes, which may help explain why it charted in some European countries.

It also made it far because of the nostalgia factor. Happy with its placement.

I love "There You'll Be" and I think it's an absolutely lovely song, but I'm glad it didn't win, simply because it's SO sentimental. I'd like to think that Faith at her best has a little more edge and personality than that.
