Who do you think is the best songwriter of our generation? If you're going to vote "other" please do not list someone whose debut was in the 90s (i.e. Britney Spears, Beyonce, etc). This discussion is solely for debuts who were post 2005.
Ehh it's fine to post a 2004 debut. But you all know what I mean. I don't want someone in here posting someone from the 90s because I want to get a sense of OUR generation.

Gaga? I'm convinced she uses songs she wrote when she was 10.
I say Lana. I can't pinpoint what it is about her writing but it's so different and fresh. She's not the best writer amongst the "great writers" of our time, but she's the best out of these. imo.
