Saw finished seeing a disturbing vid on YouTube and felt I should post it to show that racism is alive and well. WARNING: This clip is intense, not for the faint of heart.)

An Iranian-American UCLA student was shot by UCLA'S UCPD November 14th 2006, because he could not show his Student ID. He was shot 5 times with a taser gun. Police threatened to shoot students who got too close. The Student yelled out that he had a medical condition, but the cops kept shooting.

I just have to say that I am ashamed that racist sh!t like this still happens in the USA. The guy was innocent. This was racial profiling, nothing more. I'm just glad this vid is making the rounds on the net. I hope it draws media attention.

Wow; kudos to the guy behind the camera phone. The "officers" should be remove for just alone using tasers like that and then threatening the students around the incident. (Which if law and justice follows, it will happen. This will catch enough fire for it to occur.) Yes, the guy needed to be handled because he wouldn't follow the MULTIPLE orders/requests to leave the premise, but not in that manner. And I kind of doubt there was any anti-racial motives behind this incident, because that's an obvious clichéd card to be passed along from any sort police brutality case. (But then again, seeing how the situation was handled, I would likely question whether certain profiling-misjudgement was involved which led to the horrendous use of a weapon.)

Be aware of your rights everybody, and don't classify all police officers in such a negative manner from this event alone. (There are some who use peaceful and far humane ways + tactics of enforcing the law.)

This was sick.

There was a case where a friend of mine (he's black) was sitting on his girlfriend's porch. These two guys come running past him and took a dive over the fence. The cops came about 2 minutes later searching the area and decide to search him. They checked his wallet, scanned his ID and later took him down to the station while they didn't so much as question the other people close by (non-white)

Did you people even see the news segment? The police was checking everyone's IDs this guy refused to show his, they asked him to leave he refused so they had no choice but to force him out. Everything would have been resolved peacefully if he had shown his ID or at least given his student number, if he had nothing to hide why not show it?

i think that kid was testing out the police on how far they would go to get him out of the building. he was already told to leave the library for not having any identification several times and still wouldnt leave. ofcourse the library is gonna call the police on him. im sure he was aware of the consiquences. he just wanted to use the muslim card towards the situation. im sure he knew thats what was gonna happen but he kept on with it anyway. he knew it was gonna be on headlines and automatically think of it as a hate crime against muslims.

^I agree entirely with Kaos. The kid was obviously trying to stir some **** up, which has been happening frequently in the Islamic community more recently. But to a lesser degree, of course. I haven't seen someone go THIS far.

Thank goodness I can't view this. If I did though, I would totally be against it. It's not right. We don't solve simple matters like this by violence. Like ugh, makes me mad. This majorly sucks, I can't even view Youtube videos.

Yeah but still....you shouldn't resolve it with violence. You could just grab him and pull him out??? At the most grab him by his legs and arms??

The police were excessive and shouldn't even be allowed to carry such weapons but since they are allowed to they should be trained rigorously in self control before and when using them.

The student should have been escorted out not tasered and definitely not to that extent.

I'm sorry, whether the Muslim-American provoked this or not, I just can't watch this.

Even still, this is going to stir up a lot of ****.
