I laughed when the local news covered the Japan launch. Apparently the Yakuza hired street bums to wait in line. They are planning on buying out most of the PS3s and selling it for triple the price.

Wii > your face

People have been lining up since Sunday here at the Best Buy in Staten Island and you can just forget about getting it anywhere else in NYC.

But I personally find the PS3 unflattering to look at and rather large. 360 seems to have so many technical problems so I don't even trust it. The Wii is far more convenient and it's Nintendo, after all. So if I was to buy any of these, it would obviously be Wii.

I just looked at the manuel for the machine and it is quite cool.

The decision to get a Wii really comes down to how you play games. People who don't care for games much, but would like something to entertain friends and play every now and then should get one. If you play often and you want the more traditional games like Gears of War, Halo 3, Metal Gear etc, you need to choose between a PS3/360 and have the Wii as a side console

The way it looks like right now, most are getting the "Wii60" combo.

A few of the "popular" power sellers on Ebay were able to sell this thing for 15,000 - 30k earlier this morning.

The regular sellers are getting them sold at 2 -3k. (But I think that's a Pre-Order reciept only, not the actual console).

I guess if you're a power seller, waiting in line isn't so bad after all.
Enough money to buy a decent car with one measly PS3 Unit.

Ugh, so not buy the hype of either system. I'll probably eventually buy a PS3 in a few years. I'm can't see myself wanting a Wii, but we'll see, if only because it's going to be much cheaper much earlier.
