I dunno why y'all are surprised. In movie world, most pop star can't really have the same success like he/she had in music industry. (Vanilla Ice, Mariah Carey, etc.)

How are either of those excuses? It was very loosely based on the game and Rihanna was not the selling point... she was in the commercial and stuff but this movie was not riding on her name.
Poor guy... first, he had to go through being in John Carter, and now this
I am not surprised this movie didn't do well though...
