Lindsay Lohan was left red-faced last night when her hosting duties at the World Music Awards in London were met with boos from the audience.
The pop star/actress looked visibly upset by the frosty reception and abandoned her duties halfway through the Earls Court ceremony.
Reports claim she tumbled down a flight of stairs backstage and had to rest.
Her role was taken over by individual awards presenters, who attracted similar heckles from the audience in a largely confused and disorganised ceremony.
Sir Bob Geldof's daughter Peaches was forced back on stage after announcing an absent Shakira as World's Best Latin Artist. Peaches apologised for the winner's no-show after five minutes of empty stage, informing the arena crowd, "I just spoke to Shakira on the phone and she's thrilled."
Backstage, British girl band Sugababes had dressed in matching gold dresses expecting to be presenting an award themselves, but never made it on stage.
Band member Keisha Buchanan said at the start of the show, "I'm not sure exactly which one we're doing. We'll have to see."
It's Lindsay Lohan. She had that reaction coming ever since her inception
A host must at least be Funny and Entertaining. Looks alone (added with a bad public reputation) just don't cut it for a hosting spot.

This is expected when you get a cokehead to do the job. Besides, the WMAs are always completely disorganized and also unnecessary. They really need to do away with it.
From what I'm seeing:
Not necessarily sticking up for her, but the hecklers/booers were the problem, not her hosting abilities. (I saw the 04' (?) MTV Movie awards and she did just fine.) Also from what I'm reading, the producers and staff of the show failed to have everything aligned or prepared. And is there a source to the first post in this thread?
But at the same time why was Lohan hosting? Could they not get anybody else?
edit: Looked up the source, it is being reported by a handful of other entertainment news sites.
The World doesn't know Lindsay Lohan that well, so I'm confuzzled as to why they chose her to host in the first place? There were many spelling errors in that passage...
