Just letting everyone know that Gerald Levert past away in his cleavland home today.

When I saw this at first I was thinking Gerald from MCR but then I was like he can't be 40 so then after a sigh of relief I posted what I just said.

And the lead singer of MCR is called Gerard Way, not Gerald

He was the lead singer of The O'Jays, the people who sang the theme song for The Apprentice, For the Love of Money.

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How can anyone not know him? You been living in holes? Anyway, my condolances.

This is sad for me because he was one of the true Cleveland Hit-makers (and I'm from Cleveland) and it's been all over the news here. i send my prayers to anyone who knew him

LOL, there seems to be some confusion here. This is Eddie Levert's son, Gerald, who died. Levert Senior was of O'Jays fame while Levert Junior was of late 80's R&B trio, LeVert, fame. Also; he had a career as a soloist and formed another trio in the late nineties with Keith Sweat & Johnny Gill (LSG).

I like some of LeVert's work. They had a lot of R&B hits in the latter half of the 80's like "Just Coolin", "Addicted To You", "(Pop Pop Pop Pop) Goes My Mind", "Pull Over", and their biggest hit and my favorite, "Casanova."

He was in The Fighting Temptations with Beyonce. He was a good singer RIP

I've never heard of him.
