It really does show, especially on the ballads.

Adam's voice is DEFINETLY suited for classic rock. His voice kinda belongs in that era, but since he's so talented and deserves to be huge he needs to be doing more current material, and like you said he still made the album his own, it doesn't feel generic at all.

My favorite track is Cuckoo, but I think the best track is Underneath.
He better get that #1 album. If he doesn't, then I will probably get some WP's when the numbers are released.
I mean the only people who can block him are ****ing Carrie Underwood and Adele? Like, seriously, Adele has had her run and Carrie Underwood is just...Carrie Underwood.

Let em stay fuming sis. King Adam and his glittery gay ass will be perched up on that Billboard 200 next week and these lessor bitches will DEAL.

Kickin in and Shady take the cake for me
And ommm I'm so nervous, scared, excited, and anxious. This is not just an ALBUM here, this could be a landmark thing for gay culture and gay rights.
I can't with the King breaking barriers and making the world a better place

We will all be getting those WPs , I have 3 or so so I can afford a couple of them.
I love Carrie so I don't enjoy your shade but I want her ass to sit comfortably at No.2 She had a 57% drop last week (which is respectable) so if she has anything bigger than a 30-35% drop this week then she won't be standing in Adam's way. To be honest I wish he would have this debut on lock instead of worrying about these people, if only RCA wasn't such a damn mess and started the promo earlier

Elton John's last #1 album was in 1975 but he only came out as bisexual in 1976 for Rolling Stone magazine. The Lion King soundtrack reached Number 1 but that was a blockbuster Huge achievement for the gay community, even if most of them will never realize it or care about it.

Omg. I might have to get another copy. That would be so awesome!

No, definitely not. That's one reason I like Trespassing...I hate it when artists cash in on the dance-pop thing without any effort. So many of today's hits, much as I like them, could be sung by any of the pop girls. I can't picture anyone singing Adam's songs, lol.
@ the carrie shade. I love her and all, but she needs to stay at no. 2....and if adele blocks adam...

I cannot with NCOE not even breaking the Top 100 on iTunes right now despite Trespassing sitting comfortably at No.1. Maybe it was not a good single after all? What do you guys think?
Could it pick up after tomorrow or later on?

Terrible single choice. Trespassing should've been sent out first, followed by Cuckoo, then Shady, Runnin, then Kickin In, followed by Pop That Lock for Japan while Chokehold gets sent to Canada and close with Outlaws of Love

Should've been:
1. Cuckoo
2. Runnin'
3. Naked Love
4. Trespassing
Flawless era.

I don't know. I really like that song, and I can totally picture it being played on radio. I agree with everyone else in that Cuckoo is a good choice, though.

But can it be fixed or the damage is done?

It's good for now. Radios have been adding like crazy it's already top 40 on HAC and Pop and we still have 2 weeks until the radio impact date so I'd say we're doing pretty good. And he's gonna MURDER THE ****KK out of that idol stage.

I dunno about Shady...it's one of my fave album tracks, but do you think the general public would be here for it? I also dunno if NCOE is salvageable. If the video doesn't do anything, then maybe he should just rush-release the next single, but Gaga did that with Judas and TEOG and people criticized her for that.

True. If the single at least becomes another Top 10 hit for him a la WWFM I will be more than happy that one also took a couple months before peaking. And THEN the No.1 single Pop That Lock Where is the lie?

I agree. Shady is a BEAST. But it's not that single-worthy Unless they scratch Sam Sparro and add someone really massive.

The thing about Adam is that he always seems to play it safe for the singles and let the potential SMASHES that can set him apart form the industry (Fever, Voodoo, Shady, Kickin In, Underneath, Runnin) sit for dust in the album. While the generic ones (IIHY, BTINM, NCOE) get released and underperform like crazy. Adam and RCA need to embrace that Adam is a GAY popstar and as a GAY popstar he needs to carve his own identity and bring out some fresh ass music. Shady sounds just like a Scissor Sisters/Sam Sparro track that would SMASH in Australia and honestly, he needs to say **** it and release with a hot skanky ass video. It's an AMAZING song and as soon as people hear it, they'll buy it.

I think I get you...I'd just be afraid that however many people were here for Adam, as many would not be because they don't like his sexuality...But at the same time, those people wouldn't listen to him anyways. Idk. It's definitely worth a shot, though, especially at this point.
