Well instead of just lurking in the site searching for some tips, you could interact with the Macboys there as well. They know tons of info and they will help you out. I haven't been there in forever tho since I have all my problems fixed already

How about just backing up all your data via iTunes and then restoring the phone back to factory settings?

It's time for an upgrade anyways... iOS 5 + iCloud is where it's at. ESPECIALLY with iOS 6 about to drop within the next few months.
