TBVH, It was Britney's Hold It Against Me that made the pop music industry turn crazy for Dubstep. That one little bridge made a hit and people went crazy, producers like Luke saw this and now we hear dubish influence all over.
GaGa's lyrics are so gay (sorry ) They are not meant for the general, and they are a big turn off for a lot of people. It's more widely accepted of listening to Katy then GaGa because first off she is hot and second, though she might make generic songs but they sure are successful and catchy.

Katy Perry's music is more successful in this world then Lady GaGa's. So sit ur ass's down because outside of ATRL and other forums generic isn't a term for most people. She makes catchy as hell songs without having to talk about Jesus and causing conterversy just to stay at the top and all the other things that gaga does.
