I guess it has to do with the fact that some see bottoms as submissive (No duh.  ), and associate that with being feminine, and therefore "lower".

It's true. I took a course last semester called "Gay and Lesbian Studies" and we studied how the gay community heightens masculinity. It goes back to the fact that masculinity is more "normal." According to society, men are normally masculine and women normally feminine. So any variation leads to marginalization and any abidance leads to acceptance. I can honestly say I USED to be one of those guys who were like "why are there feminine guys? I understand you're gay but liking men has nothing to do with how you act." But that was when I was ignorant. Now I STFU and accept the fact that everyone is different and that it's okay that some men are feminine. I mean, who are they hurting? Killing? No one. Besides, some fem. gays are cutie pies.
Okay that was a tangent. LOL. But ANYHOE, I don't think being a bottom is a "bad" thing. I consider myself a total top but I don't look down on bottoms like it's a bad thing. I mean, if there were no bottoms, who would satisfy tops such as myself?
