I don't see the point. They will never top the original and Sissy Spacek, Piper Laurie and Amy Irving embodied the book's characters better than anyone.
Stupid horrible decision. This movie is a classic and needs to be left alone. Ugh and of course they choose a beautiful woman as her mother. I will NOT be watching.
