"SPARKS FLY"
Her most disappointing effort to date! No one likes cheap and lazy music videos. Too bad, "Sparks Fly" has so much potential. The video took more than one week to have a million views. The single, "Fearless" had the same "type" of music video and is obviously much worse than "Sparks Fly", however, it was the first time Swift has done something like it so it felt fresh, as for the latter, montage just won't do, especially when she (and the fans) is desperate for a smash hit.
Nonetheless, "Sparks Fly" effortlessly wowed the critics and topped the charts on both Billboard Hot Country Songs and Mediabase Country Airplay Check, the first and only single to do so from "Speak Now". It could have been harder but no. 1's good enough.
