I think our generation & the next generation is a lot more open towards same sex marriage. It's our parents and their parents ( the people that vote the most) who are still either living in the past or can't accept change).

Yeah, like the opression of women and racism, (which while still present are not nearly as prominent as they once were) homosexuality will, within the next few decades, become something that is no longer seen as an inferiority, and y'all will get all the rights you deserve. Including marriage etc.
However I feel as thought the most severe offenders of homophobia/racism come from the older generation.
They obviously taught their children to hate.
I think we'll see it less and less when they leave us, but will it be gone completely hell no.
This. Also religion doesn't say hate gays. People choose to be literalists. You can't literalise the WHOLE bible, it's madness. It's part fact and part philosophical. You have to understand the point. It's a complex text, but most who read it are stupid.
