"Record of The Year" is more Hip and tends to go with songs people enjoyed over the year.... i doubt justin will get nominated since his single came out in june and started heating up in july ??but you can never know...there could be exceptions
......... the thing is they always pick a spring/summer jam..... but it never wins.....
as for "song of the year" is more serious...... and they look for the song with best lyrics with best composing and at the same time with a commercial sucess or attention
