As some of you may know, I'm half of the reason this smiley exists: :melryan:
So yeah, I have taken part in these relationships in the past. They can be quite fruitful and it can definitely feel like a real relationship, but they are MUCH harder to deal with than offline relationships, where you can just see your loved one whenever you want. I was lucky to see my online ex three, four times a year.
Hmm. I think a relationship can work after meeting and talking online, but then meeting in real life and start dating offline. But a relationship where you never meet in real life? How would that work?
People are usually a lot different online than what they are in person. Online relationships may work for some people, but you can't make a judgement on someone unless you've gotten to know them in the flesh. That goes for both friendships and relationships. You can't always trust people on the internet.
