Yes. Racism was totally standard 100 years ago, and segregation was mandatory in many states. Homophobia is not nearly that bad today, and I think we're already on a good path towards change.
Yeah, if you look back in time things were a lot worst for gay people but we are now becoming more accepted but it's gonna take a lot more time for us to become fully accepted.

As long as religion is still here brainwashing people, it will never be fully accepted. Period. People need to ditch organized religion.. and not just because of this issue. We should just instill good morals in our children and that's it. We don't need all the ******** stories that go along with it. Causes so much unnecessary hate and unrest in the world.

true but almost half the United States against gay marriage thats not a minor setback dont you think
People said racism would never die out, but the world has come a LONG way since then. And just like homophobia won't die out, I can still see people becoming more accepting of it in the next 40-60 years.
