LMAO, this is why Beyonce is unappealing to me. I really do like her music, but her fans make her unappealing. As someone mentioned before, it obviously was directed towards Beyonce, as Amerie respects her, through that tribute. IMO, Amerie is just better looking and just as good a singer, with less "yelling" as people have described it. "Crazy In Love" wasn't exactly the most amazing song. Everyone here can admit that that song was popular for the name Beyonce stuck on it, along with Jay-Z. I'm sure if Beyonce was the one who had gone with "1 Thing," the same people would be pushing "1 Thing." Both are good, but Amerie>Beyonce>>>LeToya

Honestly, besides the bolded part, the rest of post wasn't worth me reading, Jason. Seriously, LeToya iosn't even mentioned in this thread besides in my initial post, so please drop the damn subject because it's really annoying now

Both artists have their strong points, but as much as you all want to love Beyonce you have to realize she (like so many of the female artists out right now) isn't original. People must come to terms with the fact that very little in the music industry of today hasn't been done already.
It would be nice to have a new Michael, a new Janet, a new Diana . . . but the fact of the matter is people borrow from one another's styles. So which came first . . . the Beyonce or the Amerie (the chicken or the egg) could be a pointless argument.
Yes Amerie had the style first, but Beyonce made it breakout. That is pretty much all that can be said about everything. Whether someone is better or worse is purely opinion.

Beyonce IS THE ONLY ONE that gets critisized for being unfluenced by someone. Every other artist is ORIGINAL.

And I don't get how Amerie > Beyonce ,for those who claim that, In which land? TELL ME.

My love, it's all a matter of opinion. I feel Amerie is probably the greatest female R&B artist out right now. Her albums are both solid, with "Touch" being the second best contemporary R&B album I bought in the new millenium (right behind "The Diary Of Alicia Keys"). She is greatly underrated.

I know; but unlike Jason, YOU like someone who has at least a molecule of talent (Ciara), we can't say the same for Cassie; right Jason?

No, the difference is that Cassie is nowhere near the my favorites. I've only ever kept up this charade, as I thought her music was enjoyable, not exactly talented and that she was good looking.

Amerie needs to take this up with Rich Harrison, not Beyonce.

Amerie shouldn't be mad or blame Beyonce. Rich Harrison gives the same sound to everybody he works with, all his songs sound the same. He's not a versatile producer at all! And he is not even that great of a producer anyway, she can always find a better producer.
