Just because she didn't live up to certain people's hopes doesn't mean she isn't cutting it as an artist though. She just came out, we've no idea if she's going to grow or not.

But the poll is in present tense, not asking who will be "cutting it" after their next album. This applies for Lana a well. She's not a good performer, like the hype suggested. She's not a good vocalist, as the hype suggested. She's not even really breaking through, as the hype suggested she would. She's falling short. She's not "cutting it".

She's singing about a personal experience in her life. It's artistic. I'm sure Adele's music will progress with her life or at least that's what I'm hoping. I doubt if her next album will be anything like 21.
