I was thinking, it does seem to have been #1 for ages.
I do love The Motto though, but it really isn't getting much competition now though, and it's having great longevity in itself.
We had quite a few rap songs smashing at the beginning of the year (Dance, Young Wild & Free, Rack City, ****** in Paris), but the past couple of months we haven't had any big rap hits really. There's Starships and Wild Ones of course, but the dance-styled rap songs do worse in this chart than the urban ones.
It peaked at #2 on Rap Songs (blocked by "The Motto") and at #26 on R&B/Hip Hop Songs. Urban radio barely touched it. Most of his Rap Songs points come from Rhythmic.
Urban radio played Take Care loads in my country, so I'm surprised to see it didn't in the US, but the song does have a dance beat in it. That might've put them off a bit.
I bet The Motto will block HYFR and No Lie from #1 aswell.
