Yes, the original version of "See The Day" by Dee C. Lee was released in 1985, a whole 20 years before Girls Aloud covered it. When I first heard the 2005 version I was pretty sure it was a cover, but I didn't know who by... I was three when it came out the first time, and I must've heard it played a few times since then 'cause i did sorta recognise it. I knew the original versions of "Jump (For My Love)" and "I'll Stand By You" very well before Girls Aloud got to them. I also know Tiffany's song very well as I was into her stuff in the 80's, and I believe it is one of GA member Sarah's favourite songs.
Also on the new greatest hits album is the new single "Something Kinda Ooooh" and brand new track "Money" which sounds crazy. There's a special edition of the album with a bonus disc featuring rare and unreleased tracks, including their cover of "Hangin' On The Telephone" by Blondie... I have been waiting for this to come out on CD since early 2003 when I saw them perform it live at G-A-Y. I'm also intrigued to hear the alternative lyrics version of "Wake Me Up" and am happy that I'll finally have the uncensored version of "No Good Advice".
